EUStudyAbroad (EUS) programs are open
to sophomores, juniors, seniors, graduates,
pre-college students, interested adults,
teachers, and professionals.


Applicants who are students must:

  • Be in good academic standing with their current academic institution.
  • Be at least 17 years old.
  • Have at least a 2.50 G.P.A. (If your G.P.A is lower than 2.5, you may still apply, although the application process may take slightly longer. If you have a 3.0 G.P.A. or higher, you are automatically eligible for an EU StudyAbroad scholarship.
  • Verify with the study abroad advisor, the school registrar, or an equivalent source at the educational institution that EU StudyAbroad programs are compatible with the education offered by said institution.

French language programs: These programs can accommodate students with minimal to fluent knowledge of French. Those with no previous experience in French will find a quality program designed to help them acquire French language basics. Those who have studied French will be poised to improve upon their language skills.

Get there in 2 simple steps.

Step 1 - Collect the following items:
  • The application form: you can download it here. Fill it out completely, sign and date it.
  • A copy of your most recent college or university transcript. (This can be sent separately or included with your completed application.) If necessary, a non-official copy can suffice while you wait to obtain an official one.
  • A letter of recommendation should be included with your application. This must be from a past or current professor or assistant instructor who knows you well, whether a language professor or not.
  • A $70.00 non-refundable application fee in the form of a check or money order is due at the time of application submittal. Credit cards will not be accepted.
  • The housing application: you can download it here. Fill it out completely, sign and date it.

Note: EUS recommends sending in all application materials with a tracking number via Federal Express, UPS, or via USPS Express or registered or delivery confirmation mail.


Application deadlines

When should I apply? As early as possible. Applications and selection are on a rolling basis. Students will need to send in a confirmation deposit of $500 according to the dates specified below. No placement is guaranteed for students who send in applications that we receive after the program deadlines.

The following deadlines apply to our program:

Semester and Academic Year

Academic year program and fall semester

We will be taking applications throughout the summer. Prospective students should apply as soon as possible to enjoy the current price for the program.

Spring semester
Registration closes 30 days before the start date of the spring semester program for students who have passports. Students who need to apply for a passport must apply at least 60 days before the start date of the spring semester program.

One-month sessions
Registration closes 30 days before the start date of each one-month program.
Summer

Registration closes 30 days before the program start date.

Once accepted to the program, students will receive a letter of acceptance and other forms including a letter for visa application, if applicable. Some of these forms will need to be completed by the specified program deadline. Remember that our programs fill up 1-2 months before the deadline. Send your application as early as possible to secure your participation.
